Capacity Building and Youth

Focusing on inter-generational learning among elders, young and new generation farmers are important for the future of sustainable agriculture to learn lessons from the past, as well as local wisdom in the form of skills, stories and ideas are passed on, and integrated into the creation of solutions for today’s challenges. Therefore, young people are the key agent for social change, especially, the roles of future leaders need to be strengthened through capacity development activities. Building capacities and networking for the new generation of rural leaders/farmers is important for organic farming and agroecology in the region.
