Linking and Learning Laos

11-19 December 2024, Thailand

The ‘Linking and Learning Exchange in Thailand,’ which took place in Bangkok, Thailand, from December 11 to 19, was a joint initiative by STELLA, the Rural Development Agency, Towards Organic Asia, and Sustainability Asia. This workshop aimed to foster meaningful exchanges and collaborative action plans among partners from Laos. Key principles highlighted during the workshop included open and honest communication, deep reflection, active listening, and a mutual commitment to learning from each other’s experiences. Participants were invited to explore various topics and formulate learning questions to direct their exploration.

This learning experience prioritized experiential learning, urging participants to participate in hands-on activities and gain insights from real-world examples. The workshop sought to promote the scaling up of successful initiatives and encourage innovation by sharing successes and challenges.

Additionally, the workshop stressed the importance of connecting with people beyond our usual networks. Engaging with diverse perspectives can expand our understanding and inspire fresh approaches to thinking and working. By collaborating with other groups and organizations, we can amplify our voices and significantly impact marginalized and underserved communities.
